What We Offer

At the REALM, our model is intentionally designed to be flexible so you can choose your own education adventure.

We work with each individual family to personalize and customize a schedule that aligns to your goals. Come for 1 class or come full-time 5 days per week…or anything in between! From group classes to private tutoring, music lessons to hikers club - we have it all - and our camps are super duper fun too!

There are a LOT of ways to engage at the REALM - making the range of possibilities nearly endless!

Roots & Branches (Ages 5-7)

  • Our Roots and Branches classes are ALIVE, vibrant, connected, loving, joyful, exploratory, expanding and adventurous! Our students are seekers of wonder, worldly trailblazers, and curiosity magnets. Roots and Branches is designed to inspire humans who LOVE learning!

Our goal is to create an environment of happy, vivacious learners who fall in love with learning, asking questions, working with others, and practicing how to become a supportive community.

As we build a sturdy academic foundation, we investigate art, music, movement, the outdoors, health, sports, emotions, our surroundings and EVERYTHING we can possibly explore!

Tutoring

  • Our REALM teachers can support students in reaching individual academic goals or diving deeper into an area of excitement.

Tutoring sessions are not limited to after-class hours; they can be scheduled at any time of the day to meet the unique demands of each student. We offer math, literacy (reading, writing, and comprehension), science, and Spanish tutoring. Moreover, if your child has a project idea, we're here to help bring it to life.

REALM Journey (Ages 7-14)

  • All of our classes are designed to ignite curiosity and empower students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to succeed in the modern world. We understand that each child is an individual with their own pace and passions, and we celebrate these differences through a personalized learning journey. All learning styles are welcome.

Many families stack a full day of classes, others attend half days or come for just a few classes a week.

Winter & Spring Break Camps

  • Join us for some fun-filled creative days during breaks. We offer a winter camp and spring break camps. (Note: we also offer a summer session of classes.)

Each day will start off with funky projects, arts & crafts, and fabulously fun games. Then our campers will head to the great outdoors. At our local parks and beaches, kids will hike, play games, and explore. Our teachers are loving, energized, and chomping at the bit to share the trails, parks, beaches and fresh air with our campers.

REALM Academy (Age 14-18)

  • Starting in Fall of 2024, REALM will offer a program for 8th graders to prepare them for of a four-year journey of self-discovery, meaning, and engagement. A sneak peak:

  • Leveraging community partnerships, our high school program bridges the gap between education and real-world careers. Students gain authentic insights from professionals through a speaker series, Q+A sessions, and meet-and-greets. The program is designed to establish connections with local businesses and organizations to help students find their passions.

  • In the first year, students are encouraged to delve within themselves. They explore their internal worlds and hone their interests, giving them the agency to choose courses that resonate with their individuality. This year is all about self-awareness, self-discovery, and pursuing personal passions.

  • The second year takes a pivotal turn toward understanding relationships. Students deepen their comprehension of friendships, family dynamics, and connections that shape their lives. The focus here extends beyond the self and into the intricate web of human connections.

  • Year three signifies a shift towards community engagement. Students actively participate in their local community through classes, guest lectures, internships, and real-world projects. They learn to contribute meaningfully to their surroundings, nurturing a sense of purpose within their community.

  • The final year embraces a global perspective. Students embark on a journey worldwide, gaining insights into current global dynamics. They reflect upon how they can contribute to the planet's well-being as a whole. This global exposure serves as a capstone to their comprehensive learning experience.

Family Adventure Week

  • Adventure Week is 2-3 days, where we head out to some amazing location and immerse ourselves in what’s happening wherever we go!

Each adventure is filled with exciting events for all ages. We’ve gone gold mining, white water rafting, caving, snorkeling, kayaking, dancing, and so much more.

2024 Adventure Week will be in Julian, CA and include arts and crafts, hayrides, ax throwing, archery, hiking, apple picking, mining, bonfires, and a big ole hoedown. Plus, the kids get to be kids, the parents get to relax and have fun, and we all grow as a community.

Discover a world of educational possibilities.
