Who we Serve
We serve all kids. Homeschoolers, unschoolers, traditional-schoolers. Kids who love school and kids with educational trauma. Some families walk here, some drive over an hour each way.
Many kids come to the REALM all day, everyday, using our classes as the backbone of their education.
Other families supplement an already robust homeschool program of their own design, with kids taking only a couple classes on various days.
Those who attend more traditional schools experience the REALM after school or during winter, spring, and summer break.
How to Homeschool with The REALM
Homeschooling isn’t want it used to be, so if you are considering it - you are not alone!
At The REALM, many families use our classes as the foundation for their homeschool program.
If you are considering homeschooling, there are a few steps to follow to ensure you are in compliance with CA state law. 2 options to register as a homeschool family in CA:
Parents can file their own Private School Affidavit to basically create your own private school for your family.
Sign up for an Independent Study Program through a charter school. Once enrolled, you will receive state funds to apply to your children’s education. The REALM classes qualify for many of these charter fund programs.
